Project Alert

The interchange and roundabouts are open in all directions. Thank you for your patience throughout construction.

Construction of the new Fleshman Way Interchange in Asotin County, Washington is underway. The new interchange will feature two roundabouts on SR-129, one on each side of Fleshman Way, west of the Southway Bridge. This design will calm traffic, eliminate stopping and left-turn movements, and provide safe merges for traffic entering and exiting between Fleshman and SR-129.

This website, hosted by Asotin County, is designed to provide up-to-date information about public information opportunities, construction impacts, schedule and detours. Additional project history and project team contact information is also available.

If you have any questions about this project please contact: 208-739-3048 or fleshmanway@jub.com.

The purpose of the Fleshman Way/SR-129 interchange design project is to improve motorist safety. Traffic counts estimate over 25,000 vehicles use the interchange daily. The existing interchange includes a number of left turn and cross traffic movements that slow traffic and result in vehicle collisions.

This project, managed by Asotin County, will:

  • Develop a safer interchange design that minimizes stopping and left-turn movements.
  • Improve traffic flow.
  • Create facilities for improved bicycle and pedestrian movements in compliance with local and regional land use and transportation plans.
  • Accommodate future traffic demands.
